Organizational Readiness Analysis for Enterprise Information Systems Implementation
Abstract
The paper presents an approach for examining and improving organizational readiness for enterprise information systems implementation. The main benefits are given by the architectural framework of different views of the information systems from the activity perspectives (substantial, communication, control; informal, formal, technical) with the same structure as the organization. Social norms are identified and formalized to represent organizational infrastructure. The approach has been verified by the use of a real-world physician workstation system in a hospital.
