Construct Ontology-based Enterprise Information Metadata Framework

Abstract

The standardization and unification of metadata has a significant impact on enterprise’s information integration and sharing. In this paper, information engineering and cluster analysis method is used to define the concepts and relationships of enterprises business meta-data, after that an algorithm is designed to map meta-data to OWL DL ontology and construct ontology-based enterprise information meta-data framework. The proposed framework can unify the definition of enterprise business information and provide a basis for information exchange and system interoperation, as well as provide a premise for knowledge management.
