He received B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in
Computer Science from the National Institute of Computer
Science, Algeria in 1998 and 2002 respectively. He is currently
a Ph.D student at Graduate School of Systems and Information
Engineering, University of Tsukuba. He is a student member of ACM, IEEE Computer Society.

He received B.Sc. degree in Physics and
M.Sc. and Dr.Sc. degrees in Computer Science, from the University
of Tokyo, in 1978, 1980, and 1987, respectively. He joined
Institute of Information Sciences and Electronics, University of
Tsukuba in 1988. He is currently a full professor at Graduate
School of Systems and Information Engineering and at Center
for Computational Sciences, University of Tsukuba. His research
interests include integration of heterogeneous information
sources, WWW and databases, structured documents, XML and
semi-structured data, multimedia databases, and data mining.
He is a member of ACM, IEEE Computer Society, the Database
Society of Japan, IEICE, IPSJ, and JSSST. Also, he is an IEICE
Fellow and an IPSJ Fellow.
