Abstract

With the development of computer network, both quality of service (QoS) and security of service are more and more concerned by customers. However, QoS may descend evidently by the deployment of security, because security mechanisms always induce extra resource consumption. In order to meet the requirement of real-time and secure multimedia applications, this paper proposes a novel model, named evaluation model with an adaptive immune algorithm to get optimal parameters of security and QoS. Simulations show that the proposed model is effective to achieve optimal balance between the security and the QoS.
